Dear Students:
Back to School today, back to exercising your 'brain-poer by the hour!'
Refocus your attention to all our Learning Aims and Learning Targets.
Refocus your emotions to strive for EXCELLENCE in all your work.
Visualize 'kindness,' being kind to others as you hope to receive kindness.
Be ready for disciplined direction to keep the learning and sharing going smoothly.
Do your Duty well, and live!
Sincerely,
Mr. Stathis
Dear Students:
There's a saying that's applicable to all areas of study, including Art, Music, Dance, Sports, and in personal relationships: "Practice makes perfect;" or said in another way: "The more you do it, the better you'll get at it."
We apply this every day in School in everything we do, and you reinforce this in your homework efforts.
You, and I mean, 'YOU!' have to be determined to want to get good at Reading, Writing, Math, Music, etc. in all aspects of our study.
Practice, practice, practice!
Sincerely,
Mr. Stathis
Dear Students:
Knowledge! We gain a lot of it, every day, every hour, every minute, here in our great Classroom 16!
Ideas, concepts, deep feelings: We explore that, all the time we're together.
Be attentive today, all day.
Sincerely,
Mr. Stathis
Dear Students:
I want you to love learning, to love knowledge, to love the exploration of ideas, feelings, and interesting characters in stories, to love writing and expressing your ideas and creativity; to love the fascination of Mathematics and how things, complicated things all fit together, can be figured-out to get it right, and the pride and honor that comes with that.
I want you to all get along as we proceed on this great journey in the joy and discipline of learning, on this mountain climb toward the Summit of Excellence!
Sincerely,
Mr. Stathis
